Tânahanner’s debut album “and the Sun Saw the Hammer” is a deeply melancholic offering of Welsh neofolk. Sure to appease fans of Death in June (whose song “Concrete Fountain is covered on the album) “and the Sun Saw the Hammer” is a haunting record that will remain with you long after its final notes ring out.
This special edition includes a beautifully crafted wooden idol bearing the band’s signature logo rune. The idols are painted on the reverse side in deep shades of black and green, reflecting the Welsh scenery. Also included are two sticks of incense and a hand-made “obi-strip” crafted from woven and embroidered fabric and painted with the band’s rune. The tape and its extras are housed in a grey-stained bag also bearing their logo rune.
Shipping begins August 15th.
